• Pricing is cheaper for educators than it is for business and corporate use cases.
• There are tons of templates, covering pretty much almost every use case out there.
• There are lots of games and quiz templates.
• There is a free plan that allows you to create unlimited quizzes, games, and more. You will never have to pay if you don’t want to upgrade.

• There is no free trial available for the premium plans.
• Premium plans are billed annually, not monthly. This can make it difficult for educators who can’t afford to pay for the entire year upfront.
• Importing questions and resources from PowerPoint, Google Slides, or PDFs is not possible on the free plan.

Genially allows you to create gamified and media-rich presentations for two use cases: corporate and education.

When you sign up, you will be asked which use case you need the platform for. Then, you will be asked additional questions to help customize your dashboard, such as which grade level you are teaching.

It’s free to sign up, and you will be able to create training materials, infographics, interactive images, gamified experiences, and more.

Genially offers a wide range of templates for various purposes, including corporate and education. The templates you will see in your dashboard depend on how you answered the initial signup questions, but you can always search for templates using the search bar.

The templates are neatly categorized, and it’s easy to find a template for any specific purpose, such as gamifying your lessons or providing practice problems for students.

It’s easy to create an interactive quiz in Genially. There are many types of quizzes, including the following templates and many more:

• Truth or lie quiz
• Retro style quiz
• Submarine themed quiz
• Higher education quiz
• Magnetic board quiz

In addition to quizzes with fun themes, you can create a minimalist, classic quiz. Furthermore, you can import quizzes from Google Slides, PDFs, PowerPoint presentations, and even images, as shown in the screenshot below.

Interactive images are images that include rich media. Users can click on certain elements in the image to display pop-ups that contain explanations, quotes, or additional information.

The pop-ups can even display additional images and audio recordings, depending on the template you choose.

Genially offers a wide range of infographic templates. They include diagrams, horizontal infographics, and vertical infographics.

From interactive dashboards to timelines to problem trees, there are tons of infographic templates you can use.

Creating videos with Genially is easy as well, as there are many video templates you can utilize. For example, if you want to create a video to introduce yourself to your new students, you can use the “Meet the Teacher” video template.

Are you looking to create a guidebook or handbook for your students, freelancers, or employees? You can use one of the guide templates on Genially to do so.

From academic calendars to research group guides, these templates are useful in many scenarios.

I like how Genially has a wide range of mobile-specific templates, including quizzes, videos, and interactive presentations.

These templates are great if you know that your audience plans on viewing your presentations or training materials on a mobile device.

If you’re working with teams, Genially offers several features, depending on the plan you choose, to make collaboration easier.

You can create team templates and even a brand kit, complete with your logo and other branding materials, which will appear across your creations.

On the other hand, if you will be using Genially for education, you can integrate it with your Learning Management System.

Canvas, Moodle, Open LMS, and Google Classroom are just some of the LMS platforms that can integrate with Genially.

Genially has two pricing structures: for education and for business. Let’s go over the education plans and then the business plans.

There are four education plans for teachers, professors, and students.

It also has a free plan, which gives you access to unlimited creations, unlimited views, and the free templates and resources.

There are three premium plans as well. Here are the main benefits of each one (this is not a full list:

• Edu Pro: For $4.99/month, you get access to the premium templates. You can also import resources from Google Slides, PPTX, and PDF files and download content to your device in various file formats.
• Expert: For $9.99/month, you can collect responses from students and track them. You also get access to premium interactive questions.
• Genius: Genius costs $12.49/month and gives you access to school branding, permission controls, audience statistics, and more. For every additional teacher you add to a Genius plan, it will cost €4.99/month.

Note that these plans are billed yearly. Unfortunately, there is no monthly payment option.

For companies, the pricing is a bit different.

There is still a free plan, which gives you access to the free templates and unlimited views and creations.

There are three premium plans, as follows:

• Pro: Pro costs $7.49/month. It gives you access to premium templates and allows you to import resources and download materials in various file formats. It also gives you privacy controls and allows you to organize your resources with folders.
• Master: Master costs $20.82/month per team member and allows you to create team templates and a brand kit. You can collect responses and assign roles.
• Team: For $70.79/month, you get five Master members, which comes out a discount. You also get a customer success manager.

Overall, Genially is a great platform. It has a much wider range of templates than most other gamified learning platforms.

Whether you need it for corporate or educational use, there will be plenty of templates you can use. And, if you are teaching, you will find templates, games, quizzes, and more for any grade level.

I suggest you sign up for free and try it out. It’s not the most intuitive platform, since there’s a lot going on in the dashboard, but the learning curve is not very long, either.

Genially doesn’t restrict you to any particular education level, like lower or higher education, like some of its competitors.

However, premium pricing plans for teams can be a bit costly. While the education plans are affordably priced, the premium plans can be expensive, especially if you have large teams.

In addition, if you need it for large teams or your entire school, charges can add up quickly. Adding additional team members or teachers can be quite pricey, as you will need to pay for each new team member or teacher you add.
