As a real-life Marvel fangirl, The Marvels star Iman Vellani has shared her theory about Kang the Conqueror’s role in the highly-anticipated Avengers: Secret Wars. Speaking with New Rockstars, Vellani proposed the idea that the sixth Avengers movie might feature an “ultra-powerful” variant of Kang, who may possess both the powers of the Molecule Man and the Beyonder.
“I think it would make sense for Kang to be a version of the Molecule Man, where he’s existing in every single universe, and there’s different variants of him,” Vellani said. “We’ve already seen that. So that makes sense. But also I feel like he could be the Molecule Man and The Beyonder all at once.”
When will Avengers: Secret Wars come out?
Originally scheduled for a 2025 release, Avengers: Secret Wars has been delayed to 2027 due to production delays caused by the Hollywood strikes. Following Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’s theatrical debut on May 1, 2026, Secret Wars will arrive in theaters on May 7, 2027. Both movies currently have no directors attached to them yet, as Shang-Chi filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton recently announced his exit from Avengers 5.
Secret Wars is the sixth installment to the blockbuster Avengers films. It is expected to conclude Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 6 and The Multiverse Saga. Fans have long been awaiting news of a potential live-action adaptation of the iconic comic book series, which sees various Marvel heroes and villains being taken by a cosmic entity known as The Beyonder, where they then fight it out on a planet called Battleworld.
