Additionally, it could be that you want to reduce the noise on your timeline and would prefer engaging with users who don’t have Twitter Blue verification as you see them as more authentic or relatable

In that case, Blue Blocker should be your go-to tool to get rid of those blue checkmarks. That’s the major difference between this tool and Twitter Blockchain.

Since Blue Blocker comes as a browser extension, you need to first install it on your browser after which it automatically blocks all the people with the blue tick.

However, you can always customize your options and not block people you follow or who follow you. Also, bear in mind that the tool will not block celebrities or influencers who got the blue tick without wanting it.

Another interesting feature to note about this tool is that it interacts directly with Twitter’s website (DOM) instead of using Twitter’s official tools. This means that you might see brief pop-ups when someone is getting blocked.

Block the Blue is designed to accommodate only 125,000 blocked accounts. If you’re a regular Twitter user, you’ll not likely hit that limit anytime soon, at least, until there’s an upgrade.

Moderate is a smart tool designed to make your Twitter experience better by using artificial intelligence. There are a lot of things you can achieve with this app.

First, it makes it easy for you to stay away from all negative posts on Twitter like annoying bots, bullying, racism, and hate speech.

You can quickly see these posts on your feed. The good posts are usually separated from the bad ones. That way, you can easily decide what to do with them.

You can either mute the user, block them, or unfollow them. Twitter Blockchain doesn’t have such an in-depth feature which gives Moderate an edge over it.

Away from the negativity, you can also follow users whose posts you like. All of these can be achieved with just one click.

Conclusion

As you have seen, there are different tools that you can use in place of Twitter Blockchain. While some are browser extensions, others are web applications.

Also, while you can achieve mass blocking with some of the tools like MegaBlock, other tools like Blue Blocker and Block The Blue are designed strictly for blocking verified Twitter users.

However, my favorite tool is Twitter One Click Block because it allows me to block people straight from their posts.

MegaBlock is also a great tool because aside from blocking users who make triggering posts, you can also block everyone who likes the post. Everything can be achieved with just one click.
